Lesley Robin grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona where she had big dreams of moving to New York City to become a playwright. Naturally, she moved to Santa Barbara to go to school. At UCSB, she studied playwriting and directing and put on several shows. After graduating, Lesley moved to LA and started working with weird people in reality TV. She discovered it was hard to do theater outside of a university setting. Still, she wrote, directed and produced two shows at the Odyssey Theater in Santa Monica. After a couple interesting years in LA, Lesley finally made the move in New York like she had originally planned. She made friends with a girl named Karley and they started writing a zine called Uncompressed Happiness. She worked at Miramax and Vox3 Films before finding a great job as a Story Editor at Filbert Steps Productions. Now Filbert Steps is closing its doors and Lesley is working at Focus Features. She currently lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with her boyfriend and her Jackapoo, Pancake.
